Go to Traffic → Buy orders and click + New buy order. The wizard has five steps: General, Ads, Targeting, Pricing & Limits and Finalization. You can't move past Ads until the first two steps are complete.
Before you start
- Top up your balance. Orders created before your first top-up wait in pending.
- Have your landing page URL ready, plus banner images if you buy sticky banners.
Step 1. General
- Enter an Order name, up to 60 characters. Names must be unique among your orders of the same format.
- Choose the Vertical. Adult is available today.
- Choose the Ad format: Popunder, Skim or Sticker. It can't be changed after the order is created, except between Popunder and Skim.
- Under Geographic targeting, keep All countries or pick Specific countries. Quick select adds all Tier-1, Tier-2 or Tier-3 countries at once.
- Optionally turn on Region targeting to narrow the order to regions inside the chosen countries.
Step 2. Ads
Popunder and Skim
- Select the Landing page attributes that describe your page — at least one.
- Enter the Landing page URL, starting with
http://orhttps://, or click Choose from library to reuse a saved one. - Optionally add Creative names / tags — up to 5, each up to 30 characters with no spaces.
- Click Save Creative. It appears under Creatives.
Sticker
- Upload your Creative image(s): 300 px wide and 50–200 px high. JPEG, PNG and GIF up to 250 KB, WebP up to 100 KB.
- Enter the landing page URL and save the creative, as above. An order can hold up to 20 creatives.
New images and landing pages are reviewed before they serve. A creative waiting for review shows a notice and doesn't run until it's approved.
Note: You can put macros in your landing page URL — for example
{visitor_id}, which you need for conversion tracking. Click Help next to the URL field for the full list.
Step 3. Targeting
Everything here is optional: by default your order buys all matching traffic.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Devices | Mobile, Tablet, Desktop, Console, Smart TV. All are on by default; keep at least one |
| Traffic origin | The traffic sources you buy from. Keep Automatically add new sources as they become available on to get new sources as they appear |
| Content categories (thematic) | The site categories you buy from. All are selected by default |
| Time frames (UTC) | Off means 24/7. Turn it on to choose weekdays and hours of the day, in UTC |
| Advanced targeting | Target or block operating systems, browsers, browser languages, mobile carriers and ISPs, connection type (Cable/DSL, Cellular) and keywords |
| Domain Filter | Attach one whitelist or up to 5 blacklists of domains. Don't buy from my own domains skips domains registered to your own account |
Step 4. Pricing & Limits
Your bid
- If you target All countries, enter one CPM Bid — the price for 1,000 impressions.
- If you target Specific countries, set a bid per country under CPM Bid by Country. Apply minimum bid to fills in the minimum for a whole tier in one click. A bid below a country's minimum is raised to the minimum automatically.
Minimum bids
| Format | Tier-1 | Tier-2 | Tier-3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Popunder, Skim | $0.50 | $0.30 | $0.15 |
| Sticker | $0.03 | $0.02 | $0.01 |
The maximum bid is $100 CPM.
Limits
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Frequency capping | On, 3 impressions per 24 hours | How often one visitor can see your ad |
| Campaign limit | Off — unlimited | Caps spend (Budget) or impressions (Hits) Per hour, Per day or Total (one-shot). Hit limits start at 300 per hour or 5,000 per day |
| Slow ad delivery | Off | With an hourly or daily limit, paces purchases evenly across the hour or day instead of using the allowance as fast as traffic arrives |
| Daily limit per source | Off | Caps impressions from any one source, at least 1,000 a day |
| Custom bids by source | — | A different bid for specific sources |
An order with a Total limit becomes finished once the limit is used up. To restart it, edit the order and raise the limit above what it has already used.
Step 5. Finalization
- Review your settings under Review Your Order.
- Under Order status after creation, choose Active to start buying right away, or Paused to start it later.
- Optionally change the traffic options:
- Hide origin referrer — off by default.
- Allow no-referrer traffic — on by default.
- Only traffic with preview thumbnail — off by default.
- Click Save Order.
What happens next
If your account has had its first top-up and your creatives are approved, an Active order starts buying on the next matching impression. Otherwise it waits in pending — see order statuses.
