An RTB feed connects your own bidder (DSP) to TrafficOX. Instead of setting a bid in a buy order, you receive a bid request for each impression and answer with your price in real time. Feeds are available for Popunder and Sticky banner traffic.
Note: Creating and editing feeds is switched on per account. If the form says feed editing isn't enabled, ask your account manager to set it up.
Create a feed
Open RTB Feeds, click + New feed and fill in the form.
Feed settings
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Name | Shown in stats and the feed list, up to 60 characters. Defaults to your endpoint's host |
| Endpoint URL | Your bidder's URL, starting with http:// or https://, for example https://dsp.example.com/bid |
| Request method | POST (default) or GET |
| Response format | OpenRTB (default), Custom JSON or Custom XML. Pick a custom format only if your DSP answers in its own shape |
| Bid price key, Click URL key | For custom formats only: the names of the fields that hold the price and the click URL in your response, for example cpm and url |
| Payment model | CPM — you pay per 1,000 impressions won; CPC — you pay per click |
Limits
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| QPS limit | The most bid requests per second sent to your endpoint, counted per TrafficOX server. 0 means unlimited |
| Frequency capping | How many times one visitor can be sent to this feed within 24 hours. 0 means unlimited |
Targeting
- Countries — Target selected or Block selected. An empty list means all countries.
- Blocked platforms — desktop and/or mobile. Blocking both means the feed gets no traffic.
- Blocked browsers — browser groups to reject before bidding, such as Webview or Puffin.
- Buy no-referrer traffic — on by default.
- Reject mismatch IP — off by default.
- Content categories (thematic) — keep at least one.
- Domain filtering — a blacklist or whitelist of domains, one per line.
Save the feed. Bid requests start arriving once the feed is active.
Pause and resume
Use Pause and Play in the feed list. Bidding stops or resumes within about 10 seconds, and your account manager is notified.
Check the feed's health
Open a popunder feed to see Feed health for the last 24 hours: requests, requests sent to you, bid rate, win rate, timeouts, errors, requests dropped by your QPS limit, and your average response time. It warns you when something is off:
| Warning | What to check |
|---|---|
| Feed receives traffic but nothing is sent | Your targeting filters or QPS limit |
| Feed is not bidding | Your bidder answers almost no requests with a bid |
| High timeout rate | Your endpoint is too slow to answer |
| High error rate | Your endpoint returns errors or invalid responses |
| More requests are dropped by the QPS limit than sent | Raise the QPS limit |
To get these warnings in Telegram, turn on RTB Feed Health Alerts — see Telegram alerts.
Statistics
Each feed has its own statistics with the same tabs as a buy order: Overview, By source, By country, By ISP, By Operating System, By Browser and By Browser Language, plus CSV export.
