The TrafficOX API lets you read your statistics and manage buy orders, domain filters and RTB feeds from your own code. All requests go to:
https://api.trafficox.com/api
Create an API key
- In the platform, open API keys from the account menu.
- Click + New API key, enter a Name and click Create.
- Copy the key from the table — 32 capital letters.
Keep the key secret — it gives full API access to your account. Use Disable to switch a key off without deleting it, and Activate to switch it back on.
Authenticate
Send the key in the Api-Key header with every request:
curl https://api.trafficox.com/api/v1/me \
-H "Api-Key: YOUR_API_KEY"
| Response | Cause |
|---|---|
401 {"error":"Invalid API key"} | The header is missing, or the key is wrong or disabled |
401 {"error":"Your API access disabled by platform. Please contact to support."} | API access is turned off for your account. Contact your account manager |
Conventions
- Format. Requests and responses are JSON. Responses are not wrapped in an envelope: a single object comes back as an object, a list as an array.
- IDs. Buy orders, sell orders and RTB feeds accept either their numeric ID (as shown in the platform) or their long internal ID.
- Dates. Send
date_startanddate_endasYYYY-MM-DDor a full timestamp such as2026-10-25T00:00:00Z. Times are in UTC. Adate_endat midnight covers that whole day, sodate_start=date_end=2026-10-25returns all of 25 October. - Lists. Lists of orders and feeds return everything in one response, without pagination. Domain filters page with
pageandlength(up to 20). - Statistics are requested with
POSTand a JSON body of filters. See Statistics requests.
Errors
| Status | Body | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
404 | {"error":"Not found!"} | The ID doesn't exist or isn't yours |
422 | {"error":"Parameter is missing", ...} | A required parameter is missing |
422 | {"errors": ...} | The request was understood but its values aren't valid |
500 | {"error":"Internal Server Error. Please, contact support."} | Something failed on our side — often an unreadable date |
Note: If a statistics filter has an invalid value — for example an unknown country code — the response comes back with status
200and anerrorsfield instead of data. Check forerrorsin statistics responses.
